Our Rush
What is Rush? Rush is a week where all fraternities and sororities put on events to introduce new prospective members to the active members of a chapter.
Rushing a fraternity has multiple advantages and lessons you would never learn in a normal life, not only do you find a brotherhood, you will learn respect, being responsible, how to always lend a helping hand, and other social skills that will further you in your life. As the Morehead State Greek life page states:
"Any ordinary group can get together and have a party, it takes a fraternity or sorority to build a student into a better person." You can read more about Morehead State Greek life by clicking the button located at the bottom of this page. Here at Eta Gamma, we are here to build a student into a better person, by teaching brotherhood, creating leaders in society, and building distinguished gentlemen. Not only do you gain social skills by having mixers and other events with other Greek organizations, you will find yourself making memories that will last a lifetime.

What we are About
As one of the oldest and largest fraternities in the United States, Theta Chi has lived its legacy in molding young men into successful members of our society. Not only do we succeed just as a chapter, but as a whole fraternity nationally; according to Newsweek College Rankings: 2012, Theta Chi ranked fourth nationally among all other fraternities. So what is Theta Chi really about?
Below is a link to the Morehead State Greek Life page, there you can find out more information about MSU's NO Hazing, ZERO TOLERANCE policy; And a little more about Greek Life as well.
- Our Maxim, "Alma Mater first, Theta Chi for Alma Mater." Theta Chi firmly believes in getting your college education, and encourages participating in class, making grades, and enforcing library time to improve GPA's as a whole.
- Our Motto, "Extend a Helping Hand." As a fraternity, community service is the best way to extend a helping hand to people who need it. Multiple events are held throughout an entire semester, everything from pulling weeds from local baseball fields to helping unpack, sort, and load cars with Girl Scout cookies. But extending a helping hand isn't limited to community service, we are always willing to extend a helping hand to people who seek it, especially our fellow brothers, and at anytime there is a brother in need another brother is there to help.
- Many incoming freshman have seen movies, heard stories, and read about some of the 'hazing' that takes place within the fraternity. None of these things happen in Theta Chi, there is a ZERO Tolerance NO Hazing policy that we strictly follow, and will enforce.
